One of the tougher days at about 6 to 7 hours crosses steep ground toward Berriedale with serious climbs from sea level to clifftop and back. Honest scree and rough paths - the JOGT at its most demanding.

Berriedale is tiny - essentially a strung-out hamlet with limited beds. Plan accommodation carefully; there is little fallback if the pub or B&B is full.
